I also have a growing interest in the area of gender and politics. Earlier projects examined the role of gender attitudes in shaping electoral support for women candidates. Newer projects extend this work to conflict contexts, investigating the use of gender appeals in white nationalist politics, how (in)security shapes public support for women political leaders, and the effects of exposure to conflict violence on domestic violence.
